If you’re a classic Ford Mustang pony car enthusiast, it probably isn’t too hard to imagine yourself behind the wheel of this elegant burgundy and white 1965 Mustang ragtop. Read on to learn more about this Mustang, and if interested in making it your own, it’s for sale at the link below as of the time of this post.
First Generation Ford Mustang Convertible
This iconic and phenomenal pony car from Ford features a 3-speed manual transmission that lets you shift through the gears as you put it through its paces. A lot of drivers prefer a car with a standard transmission for the responsiveness and because, well, it’s just fun to drive a stick.
I couldn’t find any stats on how many 1965 Mustang convertibles were built with the combination of 3-speed tranny, a 200 horsepower engine, and of course a ragtop. I did find that there were 65,633 standard convertible 1965 Ford Mustangs built, according to Mustang Specs.
The Basic Info on This ’65 Mustang Convertible
The 200 horsepower, 6-cylinder engine under the hood of this ’65 Mustang convertible has 116,000 miles on it. And, as you can see in the photo above, it looks pretty good but could use a little detailing to get it show-ready.
